Carrie Underwood and Mike Fisher have finally tied the knot.
The country singer and her hockey player beau said their vows at the Ritz Carlton Reynolds Plantation in Greensboro, Georgia on Saturday evening.
The $500,000 nuptials took place under a lake side tent on a sprawling lawn in front of 250 guests.
According to sources, Underwood wore a Chantilly lace wedding dress by Monique Lhuillier. Her bridesmaids also wore Lhullier gowns.
The newlyweds are rumored to be honeymooning in Tahiti.
The security at Carrie Underwood and Mike Fisher’s wedding was reportedly very high, according to a number of sources. They were trying to keep the prying eye of the paparazzi out of their wedding ceremony, but the measures that they have taken to ensure this seemed to be a bit overboard.
The couple reportedly spent half a million dollars on their wedding. A number of high profile stars were in attendance including Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul, Randy Jackson, Tim McGraw and Faith Hill. Few of Fisher’s teammates also attended the ceremony.
They had the property virtually locked down, and nothing could be seen from the outside. Only about a dozen media members were allowed to cover the wedding .It is interesting that they would go to such great lengths to secure their privacy. Many Hollywood weddings have gone on uninterrupted, and featured much bigger stars than Underwood and Fisher.

Maybe other stars like the publicity. Mike and Carrie are very private people and consider a wedding a sacred ceremony. I’m glad they were able to have their day with the intrusive media breathing down their necks at every turn.
