Another way that has been reported in stopping the decreased signal issue is to place a case over the phone. The signal problem stems from your body completing a circuit that disrupts the signal. With a case over the phone the signal is never completed and there is no issue. While Apple has promoted this as a solution, most cases cost an extra $29. People are hesitant to pay that much and think that Apple should bear some of the cost.

We will see if Apple is able to issue some kind of update that will change the problem as it stands now. Overall, the IPhone 4 is still a great phone and very much worth the money. This little issue aside, you are sure to be happy with the phone when you purchase one.
